Dutch government aids Philippine BPO industry
The Dutch government has lent a helping hand to the Philippines’ efforts to boost its business process outsourcing (BPO) industry. The Netherlands’ Center for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) has teamed up with the Philippines’ Bureau of Export Trade Promotion in launching a program to boost contract turnovers from clients in Europe through familiarization with the market, the competition, and the possible partners.
The Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry points out that the CBI’s BPO Program is aimed at helping service providers capitalize on marketable capabilities, services, and European market knowledge as well as provide training on market information marketing, technology trends, processes, project management, competition and related topics. Its focus also includes identifying and benchmarking strong service providers in target countries, and introduce the Philippine BPO firms to the European market via business matching and promotion opportunities.
