TPI: European outsourcing on the rise

TPI Offshoring consultancy has released a study showing the steady growth of outsourcing over the next two years.

This was conducted among large UK companies, 81% of whom have indicated plans of increasing offshore outsourcing activities over the next two to three years. The respondents, 100 senior UK executives, only had 4% among them that indicated intentions of decreasing the offshore outsourcing activities.

India still ranks as the top outsourcing destination, having the distinct advantage of being a ‘first mover’, with a strong 75% following from the study respondents. Following closely though are Central and Eastern Europe, and China with 28% and 25% respective client base.

TPI managing director says, “As confidence in them grows and if consolidation continues, the biggest Indian providers could potentially challenge the current global “Big Six” of outsourcing – Accenture, ACS, CSC, EDS, HP and IBM.”
